‘Woman Walk The Line’ Due Out In September

A new book coming out in September, Woman Walk The Line, looks at the relationship between female songwriters and the women in country music who inspired them along their creative journeys. The University of Texas Press book edited by Holly Gleason, examines the connections between these musical heroines and the younger generation they inspired through personal essays.

Taylor Swift writes about tiny powerhouse Brenda Lee, Aubrie Sellers looks at influence Alison Krauss, Rosanne Cash pens an essay on matriarch June Carter Cash, and Grace Potter writes about Linda Ronstadt in the new book. Other contributing writers include Alice Randall, Holly George-Warren, Wendy Pearl, and Cynthia Sanz.

Woman Walk The Line is available for pre-order now here.
