VH1 Save The Music Foundation is bringing its new ‘Musically Mastered Menu’ series to Nashville. The series pairs celebrated chefs and musicians for an intimate evening aimed at raising funds to restore music programs in public schools across the country. The three-city series will kick-off in Nashville on April 27, followed by Chicago on Aug. 1 and New York on Nov. 11.
“The VH1 Save the Music Foundation always seeks out new and creative opportunities to spread the word about the importance of music education,” said Paul Cothran, Foundation Vice President and Executive Director. “As advocates of all forms of artistic expression, and fans of great food, we saw a natural pairing in music and food. We are excited to see the magic that can happen when we set the masters of music and cuisine, to pursue their passion!”
The first dinner of the series, held on April 27, is hosted by Chef Trevor Moran of Nashville restaurant The Catbird Seat. The evening will also include an acoustic performance from ‘Ex’s & Oh’s’ singer Elle King. Sponsors for the event include Avnet and William Hill Estate Winery.
VH1 Save the Music has partnered with Metro Nashville Public Schools since 1999, raising $1.23 million for new musical instruments so that students in over 40 schools could gain the tools and confidence to excel in academics as well as pursue their passion.
