Songwriter Benefit for Miller Harris Asthma Camp

Nashville songwriters performed a two-show benefit for Miller Harris Asthma Camp on Tues., July 10 at the Bluebird Cafe.

Both shows, hosted by Doug Johnson, sold-out to raise over $3,000 for the organization. Songwriters for the first round included Bud Lee, John Wiggins, Dave Pahanish and Lisa Carver, with a special appearance by JT Hodges. The second show featured songwriters Wynn Varble, David Lee, Kendell Marvel and Leslie Satcher.

The foundation sends innner-city asthmatic children ages 6-13 to a week long day camp at Camp Widjiwagan where volunteer doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists from Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital educate them about their condition.
