Penny Mitchell Joins Promotions Team for Stoney Creek Records

Penny Mitchell has been named Northeast Director of Regional Promotions for Stoney Creek Records, an imprint of BBR Music Group.

Mitchell will report directly to Chris Loss, VP of Promotion for Stoney Creek Records. The label’s roster includes Thompson Square, Randy Houser, Parmalee, Lindsay Ell, and David Fanning.

Mitchell dropped out of nursing school to pursue a career in radio in 1982. The experienced radio veteran has worked all over Colorado including stops at KCCY FM/Pueblo, KEYQ FM/Vail, KSTR FM/Grand Junction, and KHOW FM/Denver.

In 1992, Mitchell joined Jones Radio Networks where she served as APD/MD of Mainstream Country, PD of Mainstream and PD of Hot Country in addition to being an on-air personality.
