MusicRowPics: Lauren Alaina

Lauren Alaina visited MusicRow headquarters on Wednesday (July 17), treating the MusicRow staff to her current single “Barefoot and Buckwild.” Alaina co-wrote the song with Chris DeStefano and John Nite. “Barefoot…” is the first single from her forthcoming album, which the entertainer noted she has been working on for nearly a year.

July 17 marked three years since the day she auditioned for American Idol; Alaina was the music competition’s Season 10 runner-up.

She also performed “Break Down” (written by Jimmy Robbins and Heather Morgan), as as well as “Tupelo” and “Georgia Peaches”—two tracks from her debut project Wildflower.

The Georgia native has plans to move to Music City later this year.
