Carnival Music songwriter Marla Cannon-Goodman accepted her first MusicRow No. 1 Challenge Coin on Thursday afternoon (Oct. 13), following an acoustic performance at the publishing offices. She collected the coin as a co-writer of Tucker Beathard’s “Rock On.”
Since 2014, every artist and songwriter that reaches No. 1 on the MusicRow CountryBreakout Chart receives a coin.
Cannon-Goodman and fellow Carnival Music songwriter Waylon Payne traded new songs for a select group of publishers, producers and A&R executives as part of a new series called Barnival. She concluded her performances with “Rock On,” which she co-wrote with Tucker Beathard and his father, Casey Beathard.
