Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood Join ‘American Country Countdown’ TV Special on Fox

Fox is set to air American Country Countdown’s Top 10 Stories of 2015 on Thurs., Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. ET. The one-hour special will feature appearances from Jason Aldean, Kix Brooks, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Little Big Town, Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood.

Additional talent, performers and host are yet to be announced. The show will also honor the Grand Ole Opry’s 90th Anniversary.

The special is slated as a companion piece to The American Country Countdown Awards, which will air in Spring 2016.

The awards show is based on the radio show American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks, and will honor the country artists that have tallied the most album sales and radio airplay during the past year.

The American Country Countdown Awards were last held on Dec. 15, 2014. That year, Aldean took home Artist of the Year, while Bryan took home Male Vocalist of the Year, Miranda Lambert was honored with Female Vocalist of the Year, and Florida Georgia Line was named Group/Duo of the Year.

Song of the Year for 2014 went to Brett Eldredge‘s “Beat of the Music,” while Album of the Year went to Eric Church‘s The Outsiders.

The American Country Countdown’s Top 10 Stories of 2015 is produced by dick clark productions.
