The Girl Scouts have released their first-ever music video for their new anthem, “Watch Me Shine,”  which was penned by Liz Rose and Emily Shackelton. The anthem sends a message of empowerment for young girls and women everywhere, and the video celebrates every girl’s inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ ambition, applauding girls who never give up, who try new things, and who make their ideas a reality.

The new video features an all-female cast, and tells the story of a young girl pursuing her dream in the music industry. It was created and produced by a female-led team, and filmed in Martina McBride’s Blackbird Studios. Liz Rose has a cameo in the clip, and the song and video were both entirely written, produced, directed and distributed by women.

“This has been a very rewarding partnership with Girl Scouts,” said Juliet Shavit of Breakthrough Music. “It’s been amazing to watch the organization leverage music to expand its brand and connect on a new level with its audience.”

The Girl Scouts and their new video will be featured this month on the Music Choice network as part of their Kids Summer Programming. Fans can tune in and check out the girls’ new song and video for “Watch Me Shine” and listen to their exclusive “Girl Scouts Picks” Playlist on Music Choice On Demand.
