John Oates, Keb’ Mo’, Brent Mason To Play Guitar Mash’s Urban Campfire

Guitar Mash is bringing its signature “urban campfire” experience to Music City’s City Winery April 7 after six sold-out years at City Winery NYC. Directed by dobro master Jerry Douglas and Guitar Mash Artistic Director Mark Stewart, Guitar Mash Nashville will feature Mary Gauthier, Brent Mason, Keb’ Mo’, John Oates, plus Giri and Uma Peters. The Guitar Mash Nashville House Band will be John Deaderick, Viktor Krauss, and Larry Atamanuik.

“Playing and singing music is fundamentally different than engaging in music solely as a listener. Participation provides a connection to one’s creative power and a connection to the other humans around us. Regardless of where we’re at in the continuum of our creative practice, at Guitar Mash we’re all in it together,” says Guitar Mash Founder and Executive Producer Rebecca Weller.

All acoustic strings are welcome at the event, which kicks off at Noon with doors opening at 11 a.m. Tickets to Guitar Mash are $40, and $20 for students (use promo code “mashstudent”).
