The Council on Workforce Innovation will honor Anastasia Brown as its 2014 Trailblazer Award winner during the 2014 Women’s Conference. The event will be held Sept. 30 at 7:30 a.m. at Belmont University in Nashville. The conference will include a conversation with Brown, as well as a panel discussion with Kathleen Goff (K McCarthy Fashion truck), Elizabeth Griffin (Jackson National Bank) and Cathy Bender (Merrill Lynch). AT&T Tennessee president Joelle Phillips will hold a professional development discussion, and more.

All events are open, at no cost, as a guest of Belmont University and conference sponsors, to all professional women. The Album of the Day App allows music fans to access limited-time daily offers. The app will surprise music consumers daily with a different single album offering. An album will be released every 24 hours and will be available at 70 percent off, for 24 hours. Users can view artist images and preview clips from the album instantly. They can purchase albums from their iTunes account and download albums directly into their iTunes library.

Lloyd Aur Norman

SAE Institute Nashville Music Business Program faculty member Lloyd Aur Norman directed the lyric video for Florida Georgia Line‘s single, “Dirt.” The clip has garnered nearly 1 million YouTube views.

“The video was created with an amazing crew during a three day span in Nashville and Copper Canyon Ranch in Hopkinsville, KY,” says Norman, who is a winner of five design Addy awards from the American Advertising Federation. “I love making music videos because they combine all my interests – audio, video, and design. My focus is on becoming the best music video director that I can be.”
