Gilda’s Club Nashville To Host ‘Music For A Cure’ On Nov. 17

“Music For A Cure,” a songwriters event benefitting Gilda’s Club Nashville, will be held Nov. 17 at the Listening Room. The acoustic show will feature Caylee Hammack, Joanna Yaeger, Alicia Smith, Amanda June, Walker Hayes, Cole Vosbury, Emily West, Sonia Leigh, Carly Pearce, Joe Hall, and other special guests. Tickets to the event, in its 11th year, are $20 at the door.

 

Bill Filipiak Launches Video Content Marketing/Distribution Company Vidlicity

vidlicity-1Veteran producer/director Bill Filipiak has launched a new company, Vidlicity, for the creation, marketing, and distribution of video content for the music industry. Filipiak has spent the past 25 years working in the video industry and created the company to help clients evolve with the changing landscape of both video production and marketing.

“The need for on­line content is increasing while budgets are shrinking,” says Filipiak. “We work with a less is more mentality to help artists get as much bang for their buck while maintaining a high level of quality with content that’s true to their brand. The end goal is to ensure that what ends up on the screen is a true representation of the artist’s vision for themselves, their music and their videos.”

Country duo Smithfield has inked an endorsement deal with Taylor Guitars for their Taylor Player Program. They join the Taylor Guitar family alongside Taylor Swift, Jewel, Jason Mraz, Blackberry Smoke, Zac Brown, Kenny Loggins, Rob Thomas, George Strait and more.
