Wynonna & The Big Noise previewed new music from a forthcoming self-titled album on WRLT Lightning 100 yesterday (Jan. 27). The live performance broadcast from WRLT studios to YouTube. Various songs on the Cactus Moser-produced project were written by the band in addition to cuts by Julie Miller, Raphael Saadiq, John Scott Sherrill and Chris Stapleton. Special guests include Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, and Timothy B Schmit, as well as Jason Isbell on “Things That I Lean On,” a title about recovery and support. Pre-order the album prior to the February 12 release via Curb Records.

 

Nashville‘s Chris Carmack Visits Andy Cohen and Today

Chris Carmack weathered winter storm Jonas to make his debut appearance on NBC’s Today on Monday (Jan. 25). Carmack plays Will Lexington on ABC’s Nashville and is currently promoting his own debut EP. The Washington D.C. native performed the project’s title track “Pieces of You.” He also performed for Paste Studios, FOX 411, and Andy Cohen on BRAVO’s Watch What Happens Live. Various country stars have joined Cohen on his program including Trisha Yearwood and Reba McEntire.

 

Steven Tyler Greets Josh Abbott Band at iHeart Event

The Josh Abbott Band performed at iHeartRadio’s Country Music Summit last week in Nashville, where the band ran into Steven Tyler. The Texas country band is currently on tour promoting new music from their latest release, Front Row Seat. Tyler is poised to release a project with Big Machine’s Dot Records following his latest single, “Red White & You.”

Americana artists Green River Ordinance and Madisen Ward & Mama Bear were showcased prior to Sting‘s performance at the Sundance ASCAP Music Café on Jan. 23 during the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
