George Briner has been elevated to General Manager of The Valory Music Co. Briner joined the label in 2008, and has been instrumental in helping Valory artists garner 21 No. 1 singles and has engineered promotion strategies for Valory artists including Reba McEntire, Justin Moore, Brantley Gilbert, the Eli Young Band, and Thomas Rhett, whose award-winning “Die A Happy Man” became country radio’s most played single of 2016.
BMLG President/CEO Scott Borchetta commented, “George and I have worked on and celebrated so many successes over the years. His loyalty, his execution of the plan, and his team-building and leadership have helped propel The Valory Music Co. into one of the strongest forces in Country music. George and the VMC are the same DNA, that is, the DNA of success. Congratulations, my friend.”
“I’m proud to be a part of The Valory Music Co. and what has been built in the last nine years and knowing what lies ahead,” commented Briner. “Taking on the role of General Manager for the imprint allows me to continue to be more involved in the music and the creative ways for the discovery process. It’s our goal to continue positioning The Valory Music Co. as an industry leader and I am excited to forge ahead with the team. #VALORYPROUD”
