CMA and Entrepreneur Center Extend Project Music Accelerator Program

pm_acceleratorThe Nashville Entrepreneur Center and the CMA announced they have extended their partnership for Project Music Accelerator for an additional two years. The extension means the organizations will continue to support innovation in the industry through the launch of music technology startups through 2018.

“We recognize the value of supporting entrepreneurs as they help to innovate and ensure the future of the ever evolving music business,” said Damon Whiteside, CMA SVP of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships. “As CMA’s mission is to support the growth of Country Music globally, this program based in Nashville, the center of our industry, will help to continue to build the success of our industry.”

The Project Music Accelerator launched in 2014 and has graduated 13 music tech startups along with a non-profit since that time. Applications are currently open for the 2017 cohort, and six to eight applicants will be selected to participate in the 16-week high intensity bootcamp at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center where they will receive entrepreneurial education, mentoring, workspace and immersion into the music industry. Each startup will be awarded a $30,000-$50,000 investment to launch their businesses. Applications close Oct. 28.
