Brooks & Dunn Reveal New Star-Studded Duets Album

Brooks & Dunn will release a new album, Reboot, featuring collaborations of the duo’s biggest hits with several of today’s brightest newcomers. The album is slated to release April 5 via Arista Nashville/Sony Music Nashville.

The album cover was revealed Thursday (Feb. 7), and lists Kacey Musgraves, Jon Pardi, Kane Brown, Luke Combs,Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, LANCO, Midland, Ashley McBryde, Cody Johnson, Brothers Osborne and Tyler Booth as collaborators.

Snippets of two tracks from the album are already available to hear, including a collaboration with Kane Brown on “Believe,” and a duet with Luke Combs on “Brand New Man.”

“This whole experience has been humbling to say the least. What a cool rush to hear somebody do one of your tunes in a unique way, and it still holds up,” said Ronnie Dunn. “That’s the greatest compliment you can get as an artist. People used to ask us all the time about the legacy we wanted to leave, and it’s honestly just that – you hope the music stands up over time. This is the first opportunity we’ve had to run it up a new flagpole…and it really flies.”

“They’re making their own music,” Kix Brooks adds about the REBOOT guest list. “But just like we did, they still remember and respect the music they grew up with. It makes you feel good that these acts were inspired by us in some small way.”

Reboot marks the duo’s first official album since 2007’s Cowboy Town. Brooks & Dunn famously announced their breakup in 2009, with their Last Rodeo tour concluding at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in September 2010. After the split, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn each released solo projects, before reuniting in 2015 for a long-running Las Vegas music engagement with Reba McEntire. The next Vegas show for B&D and Reba is June 26 at Caesars Palace.
