Brooks & Dunn, Reba Will Perform Together on CMA Awards

Reba and Brooks & Dunn 2015Brooks & Dunn and Reba are the latest collaborators to join the lineup for the 49th Annual CMA Awards, which will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 4 on ABC.

The longtime friends last hit the CMA Awards stage together in 2008 when they performed “Cowgirls Don’t Cry.” They will return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in December following the successful initial run of dates for Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas. More dates have been added to their residency in May 2016.

Brooks & Dunn earned the 1996 CMA Award for Entertainer of the Year. In addition, they have won more CMA Awards than any vocal duo in history, taking home 14 Vocal Duo of the Year awards and 19 trophies overall. Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn also served as CMA Awards hosts from 2004-2006.

Reba won the 1986 CMA Award for Entertainer of the Year and received four consecutive trophies for Female Vocalist of the year (1984-1987). In addition, she hosted the 1992 CMA Awards alongside Vince Gill.

As previously announced, other collaborations on the show will include Dierks Bentley with Lindsey Sterling; Eric Church with Hank Williams Jr.; Thomas Rhett with Fall Out Boy; and Keith Urban with John Mellencamp.

Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Maddie & Tae, Kacey Musgraves, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band are also scheduled to perform. Paisley and Underwood will return as hosts.
