Google For Creators will host a Google/YouTube workshop at Anthem in the Gulch on April 18 and the event will feature some special performances. Ashley Monroe, Mat Kearney and an unnamed special guest will perform during the event. Representatives from Google/YouTube will host a series of hands-on workshops for attendees to showcase new tools, the best practices for creators on the Internet and forward-thinking ideas of the modern music business that are available to all artists. Presenters include personnel from various Google teams including YouTube’s NextLab, YouTube’s Music Partnerships team, Google Play, and Google+. YouTube’s NextLab’s Tim Shey said, “Nashville is a hotbed of creative and musical talent. We are excited to share insights about the most cutting edge tools available to artists today.” Monroe adds, “Music discovery these days happens online and if you aren’t online you’re not being heard.”This event is part of Nashville-based FLO{thinkery}’s Unparalleled Thinking Series and includes additional partners The Entrepreneur Center, Launch Tennessee, YEP: Young Entertainment Professionals, the Music City Music Council and the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, signaling broad state, city and local community support for empowering creative.
