Jeffrey Steele’s Sons of the Palomino To Make Grand Ole Opry Debut

Sons of the Palomino, led by Nashville Songwriter Hall Of Fame member Jeffrey Steele, released their self-titled debut album a month ago, and will make their Grand Ole Opry debut on Saturday, July 29. Sons of the Palomino is a tip of the hat to the Palomino Club in North Hollywood circa the 60’s and 70’s era, as well as the classic country music performed there. Following their performance at the Grand Ole Opry Sons of the Palomino will sign copies of their album, which includes duets with Emmylou Harris, John Anderson, Gretchen Wilson, Vince Gill and Jamey Johnson.

“This is my first appearance at the Grand Ole Opry since Boy Howdy debuted ‘She’d Give Anything’ in 1994, so to say that I’m honored and filled with pride to be back with Sons of the Palomino on the Opry stage after 23 years is an understatement – it’s an absolute thrill,” said Steele.

Big Machine Label Group’s Delta Rae will bring their signature harmonies to CMT’s Nashville, appearing in an episode on Thursday, July 27.

The episode features the six-piece band performing their joyful “A Long and Happy Life” in the studio, while Nashville characters Deacon and Jessie wait to record her song.

“We were so happy to be a part of a show that combines two of our favorite things; music and story-telling. After recording our own EP, it was fun to be able to go back into the studio and play a role on the show,” expressed Delta Rae member Ian Holljes.

Added fellow Delta Rae member Liz Hopkins, “This is a dream come true! Britt and I have been watching Nashville together for 5 years. We crush on Deacon, get thrown by the twists, and always appreciate the way it features songwriting and the highs and lows of musician life. We can’t believe that we will be featured in this week’s episode, hope you will tune in with us!”

The episode airs beginning at 8 p.m. CT on CMT.
