Eric Church’s Chief Foundation made a one million dollar donation in his parents name to the diabetes organization, JDRF Greater Western Carolinas Chapter, at the JDRF Hope Gala in Charlotte, North Carolina on Saturday night (Oct. 22). Church and his wife Katherine surprised the 1,000+ audience members in attendance with the donation for the cause, which hits close to home for Church’s family since his mother battles Type 1 diabetes. The Hope Gala was honoring Church’s parents with the Living And Giving Award for their dedication when Church surprised the crowd with the generous donation. The Chief Foundation has also aided Hurricane Matthew victims in Haiti, helping six townships in the region and more than 500 families thanks to the non-profit’s efforts.

Karen Fairchild

Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild has launched her previously announced clothing line, Fair Child, in select Macy’s stores across the country.

The line includes faux leather skinny jeans, feminine blouses, a biker jacket, and basic tees. The pieces range from $39 to $149, and are available at select Macy’s stores in Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, Memphis and Nashville.

“The real reason I’m making clothes is because I love clothes,” said Fairchild. “Outside of writing songs and performing, it’s definitely my passion. I view it a lot like telling a story in a song. I think an outfit tells a story, and I think when there’s something interesting or surprising or a little twist, that’s what makes a great song and it’s the same thing that makes a great outfit. I’m so grateful to Macy’s for giving me this opportunity.”
