Kenny Chesney will be featured in an upcoming CBS Sunday Morning profile on the singer’s “Spread The Love” fund for the Boston Marathon victims and his final weekend of the No Shoes Nation Tour, which marked his 10th and 11th sellouts of Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium. The crew joined Chesney on an emotional tour of Boston Medical Center, which partners with him for the Spread the Love Fund, and witnessed his meeting with several of the fund’s beneficiaries to hear their stories and share their courage and optimism.

Lucinda Williams will close out this year’s Americana Festival Sept. 22  at 3rd and Lindsley with an intimate showcase of songs from her self-titled CD, which was first released 25 years ago. Invites were sent to registrants this week; a limited number of tickets will go on sale to the public. The performance is not a wristband showcase.   Tyler Farr has been chosen as NRA Country‘s Artist of the Month. Steven Tyler made a surprise appearance last night (Sept. 3) at Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe. He performed after and in-the-round featuring Mallary Hope, Phil Barton, Lindsey Lee and Marti Frederiksen (an Aerosmith collaborator). Tyler performed two songs–“Jaded” and “Dream On”–during the appearance.
