Artist Updates (4-1-13)

Craig Morgan joined members of the 108th General Assembly of the State of Tennessee on the House Chamber floor at the State Capitol late last week for a reading of House Joint Resolution No. 540.

The Resolution honors Morgan as a distinguished citizen of the state of Tennessee for his notable military service, charity initiatives, and the impact he has made through his many musical contributions.

kelly clarkson1111Kelly Clarkson has joined Maroon 5 for the Honda Civic Tour, which will kick off Aug. 1 in St. Louis and run through Oct. 15. So far, no Tennessee dates are on the books, but the show will stop in Atlanta on Sept. 16.

Hunter HayesHunter Hayes will debut his latest single, “I Want Crazy,” during a performance at the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday (April 7) at 8 p.m. ET on CBS. Hayes is nominated for several ACM Awards, including nominations in the “Song of the Year,” “Single Record of the Year” and “Video of the Year” categories.

taylorswiftTaylor Swift will appear on the May 14 season finale of FOX’s New Girl. The series stars Zooey Deschanel as Jessica Day, who lives with three male roommates. Swift has previously appeared in in the romantic comedy Valentine’s Day in 2010 and an episode of CSI in 2009.
