Some of country music’s biggest superstars will perform at a special event honoring former President George H. W. Bush tonight (3/21) in Washington D.C. On the schedule are Reba, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Kid Rock, Sheryl Crow, rapper Cee Lo Green, and r&b icon Sam Moore.
The event called All Together Now – A Celebration of Service will be taped for an upcoming television special. It is organized by Points of Light Institute to celebrate President Bush’s leadership in promoting the value of service and volunteerism. The show will take place at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.
Thanks to the occasion, all four former presidents will be under the same roof for the first time since the inauguration of President Barack Obama. President Bill Clinton will serve as the event’s honorary co-chair. He will be joined by President and Mrs. George W. Bush and President and Mrs. Jimmy Carter. President Obama, who will be out of the country at the time of the event, will also participate through a video message highlighting the critical role of service in America.
NBC will broadcast the celebration on Monday, March 28 at 8 PM.
