Meg Ryan Joins The GreenRoom

Publicist Meg Ryan has joined publicity company The GreenRoom, which represents artists including Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum, Thomas Rhett, Brett Young, and more. Ryan was previously Director of Publicity at BBR Music Group; her career also includes time at NPG PR.

She comes on board at The GreenRoom following the recent exit of Kirsten Grenier, who has joined MP&F Strategic Communications. The GreenRoom PR, launched by Mary Hilliard Harrington in 2006, is co-owned by Tyne Parrish and Kristie Sloan.

 

MTSU’s Department Of Recording Industry To Be Highlighted On NBC News

NBC News weekend anchor Kate Snow will air an extended report on Sunday’s (Feb. 10) NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, highlighting MTSU’s Department of Recording Industry and the school’s trip to this year’s Grammy Awards to celebrate the success of MTSU alums, including Tay Keith and Luke Laird. Laird is nominated this year for co-writing Kacey Musgraves’ “Space Cowboy,” which is nominated for Best Country Song. Keith (given name Brytavious Lakeith Chambers) is nominated for Best Rap Song for his work on Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode.”

The report can be viewed Sunday at 5:30 p.m. CT on local NBC affiliates, including Nashville’s WSMV News 4.

 

Curb/Word Publishing Hosts Pop Songwriting Camp

Curb/Word Publishing recently brought together writers from Nashville, Los Angeles and Atlanta for a pop-focused songwriting camp at Prairie Sun Recording Studios in Cotati, California. Writers represented publishers such as Curb/Word, Disney, Big Deal, Prescription and Kobalt.

“The goal of this camp was to create an isolated and inspiring environment for the writers, producers and artists in attendance to create some special songs,” said Joel Timen, VP Curb A&R and Publishing.
