Ryan Kinder recently performed at an event with Musicians On Call and Google Fiber celebrating the new technology with Google Fiber for a Virtual Bedside Performance Program in Nashville.
Warner Music Nashville recording artist Kinder performed for and answered questions from children at Phoenix Children’s Hospital during the event via Google Hangout, and the live performance and Q&A was broadcast to each child’s room throughout the hospital on KidZone TV, giving the patients an opportunity to enjoy live music and to directly interact with a musician from another part of the country.
“At Musicians On Call we believe that all patients, families and caregivers should have access to and benefit from the healing power of live music. Thanks to Google Fiber, we are able to broadcast our Virtual Bedside Performance Program with little interruption, and share the joy of music with any patients who want to listen,” said Musicians On Call President Pete Griffin. “Seeing Ryan interact with the children and bring smiles to their faces was a great reminder of the positive power music can bring thanks to technology.”
Musicians On Call brings the healing power of music to patients, their caregivers and families in 17 major markets across the country. These one-on-one interactions between musicians and patients have a powerful effect and can bring about transformative experiences to patients and their families. Thanks to the support of Google Fiber, Musicians On Call can provide an innovative and effective solution to connect Volunteer Musicians with more patients across the country.
