Essential Broadcast Media Adds Staffers

Essential Broadcast Media, LLC (EB Media PR) has announced the addition of several new staff members. Joining the full-service PR company are Joseph Conner, Janet Edbrooke, Megan Newton, and Kendal Taylor. They join McFarland and publicist Dana Kyle.

Conner previously worked as Sr. Communications Manager at the Country Music Hall of Fame, and has joined EB Media as Senior Publicist. He can be reached at  joseph@ebmediapr.com.

Edbrooke, who joins EB Media as publicist, spent the past six years as manager of operations and events at the Academy of Country Music. She can be reached at janet@ebmediapr.com.

Newton, who also joins EB Media as publicist, previously work for the Ryman Auditorium, where she handled digital marketing duties.

Taylor, who joins EB Media as coordinator, previously served at Cumulus Media, where she worked as a promotions coordinator for NashFM 103.3 and 95.5 Nash Icon.

Essential Broadcast Media was founded by Ebie McFarland in 2007, and now includes country artists including George Strait, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Darius Rucker, Dan + Shay, Michael Ray, and Ashley McBryde, television personality and singer-songwriter Kellie Pickler, singer-songwriter Caitlyn Smith, rock bands Lynyrd Skynyrd and NEEDTOBREATHE, comedians Jeff Dunham and Sebastian Maniscalco, and music venue Ryman Auditorium.

McFarland has earned numerous accolades during her career, including being recognized as one of MusicRow‘s Rising Women on the Row, earning the CMA’s Touring Award for Publicist of the Year in 2015 and 2016, and being honored as one of Nashville Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 and a Billboard Nashville Power Player.
