Americana Music Festival To Present ‘The People Sing!’ At TPAC

The Americana Music Association, Voices of a People’s History and War Memorial Auditorium will present “The People Sing!” on Sept. 12, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. The separately-ticketed event taking place on the opening night of the Americana Music Festival & Conference chronicles the history of a people’s struggle through stories and songs, and will feature performances by Allison Moorer, Rev. Osagyefo Uhuru Sekou, Joe Henry, Alice Randall, Billy Bragg, Blind Boys of Alabama and more.

The People Sing! brings to life the extraordinary history of ordinary people engaged in struggles for freedom and justice in the United States and gives public expression to rebels, dissenters and visionaries to educate and inspire a new generation of people working for social justice.

Tickets start at $35 and are available now at WMArocks.com, by phone at 615-782-4030, and in person at the TPAC Box Office in Nashville.
