Weekly Register: CMA Entertainer Nominees Chris Stapleton, Keith Urban Top Charts

Chris Stapleton, Traveller. Featured size.

Heading into CMA Awards week, Entertainer of the Year nominee Chris Stapleton returns to the top of the country albums chart, with Traveller moving 10.5K this week.

Jason Aldean‘s They Don’t Know lands at No. 2 with 8.2K, followed by Florida Georgia Line’s Dig Your Roots at 7.4K, and Stapleton’s fellow Entertainer of the Year nominee Keith Urban at No. 4 with 6.7K.

CMA’s 50th Zinepak makes its debut at No. 5, with 4.5K units moved. Other country debuts this week include Rascal Flatts‘ Christmas project, Greatest Gift Of All, which lands at No. 7 and moved 4.2K.

On the overall albums chart, Lady Gaga’s Joanne (which features Nashville hit writer Hillary Lindsey) tops the chart, selling 201K (135K album only).

Overall album sales have declined 14.1 percent year-to-date, while overall digital album sales have declined 18.9 percent. Country album sales are down nine percent, while country digital album sales are down 14.3 percent.

On the tracks rankings, Urban’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color” is at No. 1, with 34K sold (327K RTD). He is followed by Kenny Chesney (featuring Pink) with “Setting The World On Fire” with 25K sold. Florida Georgia Line (featuring Tim McGraw) lands at No. 3 with “May We All” selling 23K. Little Big Town‘s new track, “Better Man,” is at No. 4 with 20K. LOCASH‘s “I Know Somebody” is at No. 5, with 17K sold.

This week’s top debut is Cole Swindell‘s “You’ve Got My Number,” which debuts at No. 22, selling 7.5K.

Overall track sales have declined 24.6 percent, while country track sales have decreased 22.6 percent.
