Carrie Underwood Racks Up More RIAA Precious Metal

Carrie Underwood now ranks as the country artist with the highest album certifications since 2000 as her debut CD Some Hearts reaches 8 million in sales and her latest album Storyteller reaches platinum as well. Underwood’s first four studio albums have all reached multi-platinum status as well, with Blown Away at two million, Play On at three million, and Carnival Ride at four million.

In total, Underwood has sold 58 million records.

The former “Idol” winner also holds the distinction of being the current Top Country Artist on the RIAA’s Digital Single Ranking with 28 million, landing her among the top five females in the history of the RIAA’s Digital Single Program across all genres. The superstar has racked up three No. 1 singles from her 2015 CD Storyteller, and will wrap up her Storyteller Tour - Stories in the Round at the end of November.
