Charlie Daniels, Fred Foster, and Randy Travis were formally inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame Sunday night (Oct. 16) during the annual Medallion Ceremony at the CMA Theater at Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in downtown Nashville.
Daniels was inducted in the “Veterans Era Artist” category, while Travis was inducted in the “Modern Era Artist” category. Foster was inducted in the “Non-Performer” category, which is awarded every third year in a rotation with the “Recording and/or Touring Musician Active Prior to 1980” and “Songwriter” categories.
The memorable evening included musical tributes to each inductee with performances by Trace Adkins, Garth Brooks, Brandy Clark, Alan Jackson, Jamey Johnson, Kris Kristofferson, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, and Trisha Yearwood.
