Country Music Hall of Fame Promotes Jay Orr, Peter Cooper, Warren Denney

cmhofThe Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum has promoted Jay Orr, Peter Cooper, and Warren Denney.

With the museum since 2002, Orr is promoted to Executive Senior Director for Research, Editorial, and Content. He works with the museum’s curatorial and editorial staffs to develop and implement exhibits and publications. He develops, writes, and edits museum releases including books, exhibit catalogs, educational materials, liner notes, web site, and media scripts.

Newly named Senior Director, Producer and Writer, Cooper oversees a number of the museum’s creative initiatives. He develops and executes mission-centered programs, ticketed events, exhibitions, and, in his role as writer, describes the rich character of the country music story. He is an award-winning music journalist and a Grammy-nominated producer.

As Senior Creative Director, Denney oversees the museum’s creative department, including artistic and material support of all exhibitions, educational projects including public programming, development and membership initiatives. He fulfills the institution’s complete marketing and advertising needs.

“With more than two million artifacts in the museum’s collection, there are endless stories to share from this great American art form,” said museum CEO Kyle Young. “I’m thrilled to recognize the talents of these three gentlemen and their support of our mission. They continue to be invaluable to this organization as we collect, preserve and interpret the history of country music.”

Cooper and Denney join Orr on the museum’s senior leadership team which includes museum Young, Senior VPs Sharon Brawner (Sales and Marketing), Nina Burghard (Financial Services and Operations) and Carolyn Tate (Museum Services), and VPs Warner Hedrick III (Hospitality and Entertainment) and Lisa Purcell (Development).
