Thomas Rhett accepted a platinum plaque for his latest album, Tangled Up, prior to a concert stop in Irvine, California, on Saturday (Aug. 20).

He was surprised with the plaque backstage with friends and colleagues, including manager Virginia Davis, The Valory Music Co.’s Amy Staley, and songwriters Joe London and Sean Douglas.

“It’s crazy to think about all the fans who are taking this journey with me and are helping make things like this happen,” said Thomas Rhett. “I’ve had an amazing year already, but finding out that the album went platinum is one of the coolest moments so far.”

Rhett is currently on the road with Jason Aldean’s Six String Circus Tour.
