Zac Brown Band played for more than 111,000 fans over the weekend as part of their Black Out the Sun Tour. Attendance reached 38,778 people at their concert at Citi Field in New York City on Friday (Aug. 19). A combined 72,819 people caught their show at Fenway Park in Boston on Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 20-21).
The band set records at Fenway Park in three categories: the most tickets sold at a single concert, the most tickets sold over two nights of concerts by the same artist, and the first band to sell out seven consecutive shows over three years.
In addition, Zac Brown Band created two separate set lists for their shows at Fenway Park with no song repeated over the course of the two nights. Fans who were not able to attend the concerts were able to watch them live as Pay-Per-View webcasts at nugs.tv and in the nugs.net app for AppleTV.
In related news, Zac Brown Band’s latest album, Jekyll + Hyde, has been certified platinum. Their debut album, The Foundation, has been certified five-times platinum. An exhibit about the band will be displayed at the Country Music Hall of Fame through July 2017.
