In the wake of the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, country stars are coming together for a special night of music to benefit the victims and their families.
On Tuesday (June 21), Michael Ray, Tyler Farr, Maddie and Tae, Jerrod Niemann, Billy Currington, Easton Corbin, Parmalee, Cole Swindell and Canaan Smith will take the stage at Orlando’s CFE Arena to raise money for OneOrlando Fund, which was formed to help respond to the needs of the community after the effects of the shooting.
The concert will begin 8 p.m., and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 plus tax at Ticketmaster.com, and Ticketmaster fees have been waived. Proceeds will be donated to the OneOrlando Fund. UCF Garage will be $10 and all parking fees will also be donated to the OneOrlando Fund.
“In wake of this heartbreaking and senseless tragedy, I’m proud to represent my home state,” says Ray. “To see my hometown, central Florida and the whole world come together is proof there is way more good in this world than evil. These families will be in need for years and I’m committed to help as long as necessary. Me and these artists stand in unity for love and healing and I’m honored to take part in this event.”
Held in partnership with local Orlando radio station K92.3, the Country Strong – Orlando’s Night of Healing & Country Music concert will benefit nonprofits that support the victims and families as well as other needs related to the tragedy.
