The Wallflowers will headline the Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series on Saturday, April 30 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena at 7 p.m., as part of this year’s St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville Marathon & 1/2 Marathon.

Formerly known as the St. Jude Country Music Marathon, the event has been rebranded as part of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series for the first time in 2016. The musically-themed race attracts more than 30,000 runners and walkers who will take on the 26.2, 13.1-mile and 5K courses, while passing 50 of Nashville’s top live bands performing along the route. Additionally, 4,000 junior racers will participate in KiDS ROCK Nashville presented by YMCA of Middle Tennessee.

The concert is open to the public and tickets are now on sale for $35.00. Race participants and volunteers receive free admission. Tickets can be purchased at the Bridgestone Arena box office, TicketMaster charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or ticketmaster.com.

“With more than 30,000 runners this year, the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & 1/2 Marathon is a marquee event in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon series,” said Kevin Buffalino, Event Director. “It’s the first year as Rock ‘n’ Roll, and we are thrilled that The Wallflowers will perform at this year’s post-race concert to celebrate all of the musical genres that Nashville is known for. We are excited that so many participants return year after year to experience the event and run Music City.”

During the marathon, thousands of St. Jude Heroes will run, hoping to raise more than $2 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Over the event’s five-year partnership with St. Jude, nearly $6 million has been raised.
