Industry Pics: ASCAP, Girl Scout Luncheon, The Swon Brothers Visit ACM

Last week, The ASCAP Foundation Country Songwriters Workshop, part of an ongoing series designed to focus on the development and education of promising new Country music songwriters, took place at the ASCAP offices in Nashville. Conducted by longtime ASCAP member and veteran songwriter Darrell Brown (“You’ll Think Of Me,” “Raining On Sunday” – Keith Urban, “Why Don’t We Just Dance” – Josh Turner), the sessions provided advice on the art and craft of successful songwriting techniques, as well as information on important business-related topics including A&R and music publishing.
