International Music Streaming Service Deezer Eyeing America

200px-Deezer_LogoThe French music streaming service Deezer will soon be available to Americans as well, according to Techcrunch.com. Deezer has avoided the U.S. market until now, due to competition concerns, but is ready to tackle the American market in 2014. The international leader in the streaming industry, it is 100 percent web-based with no need for software, allowing consumers to listen on any device at any time without a need for a connection. The company has 30 million licensed tracks and five million paid users and is available in 182 countries.

“The launch date is not final yet. But 2014 will be an American year for us,” co-founder and CTO Daniel Marhely told the news agency AFP.
