Branch and Dean’s new Single “The Dash” was written by Steve Branch, Marlon Dean Scallan and Michael Penn Huffman as a tribute song to Steve Branch’s only son Theron (23) who passed away on March 15, 2013, following a long struggle with Cystic Fibrosis.
On June 26, 2013, Branch & Dean officially forged a groundbreaking commitment as Celebrity Ambassadors to the National Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) with the donation of a portion of single/record sales from “The Dash” to help fund research for a cure of Cystic Fibrosis.
Branch & Dean are signed to label SSM Nashville Records and managed by Erv Woolsey; noted as the life-long manager to George Strait.

“What a powerful performance. It’s one thing for an artist to feel a connection to the music, but to make everyone else in the room feel those same emotions is really something special. I cried the first time I heard the song, and I couldn’t help but get choked up again when they performed in the studio. The song is so moving, and it has a message that everyone can relate to. I think we can all recall a time when we were reminded of just how short our time on earth really is, and they’ve captured that emotion in a really beautiful way that makes us all reflect on that feeling.”
